Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant/Receptionist at our dermatology office, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Patient Interaction:
• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures.
• Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
• Obtain and update patient information accurately.
• Administrative Support:
• Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records.
• Assist with insurance verification and billing processes.
• Medical Assistance:
• Assist dermatologists with in-office procedures as directed.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Provide support during patient examinations and treatments.
• Communication:
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other team members.
• Relay important information to patients regarding prescribed medications and post-care instructions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program is a plus.
• Prior experience in a dermatology or medical office setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. EMA knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
