Algology Associates is at the forefront of advances in the treatment of pain, offering the latest interventional pain management and minimally invasive spine care to all of our patients. Our Physicians are board-certified in Pain Management and Anesthesiology. We are currently seeking a Full Time Medical Receptionist/Assistant with a with at least 3 years of Medical Practice experience.
A Medical Receptionist is responsible for interacting with patients and managing basic administrative tasks for the medical office. Our Medical Receptionists act as a liaison between the physicians and patients by working directly with the provider to deliver high-quality, compassionate customer service and clinical care. They play a key role in representing the practice within the community.
Duties and Responsibilities of this role include:
- Meeting, greeting and assisting patients promptly, efficiently and in a professional manner both in person and on the phone
- Answering phone calls and relaying messages when necessary
- Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues to the correct person/department
- Setting up new patients, answering patient intake forms and updating or correcting current patients’ information in the EMR system, this includes patient demographics and insurance information
- Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
- Collecting co-payments, deducible, and co-insurances from patients for treatment
- Processing referrals and providing complete and accurate referral information to our patients

- Attention to detail to schedule patients correctly and update incorrect or outdated patient information

- Intuitive skill set to take on office tasks which lead to increased efficiency in the workplace
- Strong computer and technological skills which include Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Must have strong customer service ability, high levels of professionalism and quality focus at the workplace
