Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs clinical tasks related to assisting providers within the clinical areas.
- Greets patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
- Maintains patient confidentiality, respect and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Assists patients and providers preparing with examinations, minor procedures within the office, phlebotomy and/or collection of specimens.
- Performs blood pressures, vital signs and physical assessment of patient through triage.
- Performs ancillary testing as ordered by providers.
- Completes clear, accurate documentation within the patient medical record.
- Maintains all clinical areas with supplies necessary to function daily.
- Keeps exam rooms and work areas within the office clean and sanitary at all times.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalency is required.
- Certification as Medical Assistant and/or completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred but will also consider LPN and/or CNA backgrounds.
- One year of experience in an outpatient setting preferred.
