Job Summary:
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the center. You will support the physicians, technicians, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
Duties/Responsibilities:
(95%) Patient Care

• Interviews and assesses patients and documents basic medical history
• Takes vital signs as applicable
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Triage phone calls
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports as applicable
• Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services as applicable
• Check with patients and type of patient charts and other pertinent information
• Assist during medical examinations and procedures
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience or medical secretary experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
