SalaryPart time (Excellent opportunity for students in the Healthcare field) or full time, we prefer some experience in the medical field but also willing to train the right candidate.
Duties:
- Assist with front desk duties, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls.
- Maintain and update medical records using electronic systems..
- Perform medical billing and coding tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with patient care, including obtaining patient history and performing preliminary tests.
- Provide support to the optometrist during eye exams and procedures.
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
- Assist with retail sales of eyewear, including helping patients select frames and lenses.
- Utilize retail math skills to calculate prices, discounts, and insurance coverage for eyewear purchases.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office or optometry setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Schedule:
- For part time: Mondays: 9:00 -7:00PM and Thursdays 12:00PM to 7:00PM are required to be worked.
