- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care and treatment
- Perform basic medical procedures and tasks under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Take and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Previous experience working in a hospital or medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic X-ray procedures
- Proficient in providing patient service and care with compassion and empathy
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and verifying insurance information
