We are seeking a(an) Medical Assistant - Radiation Oncology for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary and Qualifications- Assists with consultations and patient follow up
- Assist with the front desk phone calls, scheduling appointments, and basic front desk duties
- Assist with phone calls from patients and associated follow up
- Coordinates and schedules additional testing or procedures as ordered by physician
- Obtains pertinent patient clinical information and documents vital signs when necessary
- Completes necessary prior authorizations for CT SIMS, radiation therapy treatments, or procedures
- Maintains charts and supplies
- Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- Certificate/Degree/Diploma from a Medical Assistant program
- Basic Life Saver (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification required within 30 days of hire date
- Previous experience in similar setting preferred.
