Medical Assistant

Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a skilled and detail oriented individual to join our team in Camarillo, California. As a Medical Assistant in our psychiatric office, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or relevant healthcare role
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques
- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and interpretation
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
- Knowledge of medical administrative support functions, including electronic health records (EHR) systems
-Entering labs into EHR systems
- Medication refills
- Checking Cures reports

- Medication Pre-authorizations

- Completion of Disability and school forms for our providers

- Back up coverage for front office

- Medical records request

Note: This is a part time position. Hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
