Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for the provision of ancillary testing/ services performed as part of the Urology Medicine Department. Services include but are not limited to: drug screening (urine and breath alcohol) taking vital signs, the performance of EKG’s, pulmonary function tests, hearing and vision screening, immunizations, and blood drawing. May go on-site to specific companies to provide services. The Medical Assistant II is also responsible for assisting with preloading charts, rooming patients, the calibration of equipment in the medical clinic, notifying the appropriate staff if equipment is malfunctioning, ordering supplies and stocking the exam rooms, as well as performing a monthly inventory of pharmaceuticals, disposing of expired medications appropriately. Additional duties include case management/client retention and development of protocols for applicable clinical processes.

What qualifications you will need:

• Medical Assist certification
• 1 year in hospital setting preferred
