Summary

This position supports patients by building relationships and performing a wide range of hands-on tasks in various clinical environments ranging from pediatric to adult and geriatrics.

Responsibilities*
- Responsibilities could include:
- Room patients and perfomr standard patient intake including vitals
- Assist with minor clinical office procedures
- Performs standard medical laboratory/Point of Care (POC) testing.
- Administer medications/immunizations, injections as directed
- Respond to general patient inquiries regarding treatment and clinic policies and procedures.
- Coordinate patient care with outside health agencies.
- May complete general administrative duties as assigned including; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Disability and Return to Work forms, Electronic Medical Record in-basket messages, etc.
- Complete other clinical and non-clinical duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an equivalent combination of patient care related education and patient care experience
- 0-1 years of patient care experience for an Assistant level
- 1-3 years of patient care experience for an Associate level
- Knowledge of basic Medical Terminology
- Moderate standing/walking, as well as, lifting, positioning, pushing and/or transferring patient.
Desired Qualifications*
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or (RMA).
- Experience working within a large complex outpatient health care setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records system.
Work Schedule May be occasional weekends.
- Part-Time , weekday schedule will vary depending on location/clinic.
