We are seeking an organized, friendly Medical Assistant Medical Receptionist to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls to the office to schedule appointments, take messages for MDs, direct questions to billing
- Schedule appointments
- Check in and check out patients in office
- Handle patient forms
- Collect patient payment and copay
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Perform routine clinical tasks including venipuncture, set up for gyn office procedures
- Communicate with lab insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs and obtain a chief complaint from the patient
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, 1+ year preferable
- Preivous experience as Medical Receptionist, 1+ year preferable
- Familiarity with medical procedures, billing procedures, and lab handling
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
