Responsibilities
- Perform clinical and administrative duties that assist in the delivery of effective patient care within assigned area
- Greet patients, escort them to exam room and perform vitals and other related MA duties
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical practice and patient care as it relates to the clinical setting and medical specialty
- Adhere to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Must be a registered or nationally certified Medical Assistant or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire. Credentials held by Medical Assistant must require a re-certification process on a regular basis
- Must maintain BLS certification; and, if required, maintain training in venipuncture
Preferred Job Requirements
- Crossed trained in other clinical specialties: Ob/Gyn, Neurology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Family Practice, and Internal Medicine
