Position Overview: Cupid Lips Spa is seeking a dedicated and Certified Medical Assistant to join our busy and vibrant team (with med spa or dermatology experience preferred).
You need to be comfortable explaining skin care plans, need to know skincare products, and will assist the front office if needed. Need to know how to us an EMR and basic POS system.
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with various tasks, including inventory management, rooming patients, providing support to our medical providers as needed, etc. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care and service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of medical supplies, equipment, and skincare products. Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Perform regular inventory audits and assist with restocking and organizing inventory storage areas.
- Rooming Patients: Escort patients to examination rooms, take vital signs, and accurately record patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) system. Prepare patients for their treatments/procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and at ease.
- Assisting Medical Providers: Collaborate with medical providers in various tasks, including but not limited to preparing treatment rooms, assisting with procedures, setting up equipment, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Client Communication and Education: Communicate with clients in a friendly and professional manner, providing instructions and information regarding treatments, pre and post-care guidelines, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining client records.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) for all patients, documenting treatment details, patient history, vital signs, and any other relevant information. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy laws.
- Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing appointments, billing, and handling insurance-related paperwork.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all spa policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Maintain knowledge of current best practices and regulations pertaining to medical assisting in a spa setting.
