Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running smoothly.

• Checking and recording vital signs
• Reporting and recording accurate patient history summaries
• Preparing patients for exams and procedures
• Telephone triage
• Preparing charts
• Assisting with office procedures under the direction of the physician’s requirements
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a Medical Assistant position

· Previous experience working with AthenaHealth highly desirable

· Previous experience working in an OB/GYN environment highly desirable

· Highly organized and detail oriented

· Phlebotomist experience preferred

· Excellent communication skills oral and written; able to communicate effectively with patients and all levels within the care center

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities

· Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced office environment

· Experience with medical coding

· Microsoft Office knowledge

· Bilingual- English/Spanish highly desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
