- Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals in a medical setting
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting specimens and conducting urine tests
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Proficient in medication administration and basic life support techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
