We're in search for a Medical Assistant (M/A) with experience in customer care to be the next addition to our team of a small private practice. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Prep clinics (print labs/fill out face sheets/update medication list).
- Greet and assist patients/ room patients during clinic hours.
- Maintain patient records/ request referrals for select patients.
- Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
- Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing documentation.
- Preparing medical files/ send medical records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in the computer system.
- Provide comfort to distressed patients – this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise, through to being the voice of comfort during times of extreme stress and emergency.
- Assist with nephrology related tasks as needed.
You will be required to travel 2 days each month to run rooms at our other locations/ mileage reimbursement for both travel days.
Each clinic day you are required to work until clinic is finished (varies)
Hours:
- Non-Clinical days 8:30am-4:30pm
- Clinical days 9am- roughly 7:30pm
- (Exception: Friday 8:30am-3pm)
Clinics:
Festus: 1st & 2nd & 5th Monday/ every Tuesday (Located in Mercy Jefferson)
Farmington: 3rd Monday each month (Located in Midwest Orthopedic)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
