Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and medical procedures
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing and insurance information
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Assist with diagnostic tests
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding
- Strong patient care skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of medical administrative procedures and electronic health record systems
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and regulations
- Ability to accurately take and interpret vital signs
- Experience with basic life support techniques
- Knowledge of equipment operation
