Medix is hiring a Medical Assistant for an outpatient practice with mulitple locations across MD and Washington DC. Locations include - Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, Fredrick, Washington DC.
Job Information:
Schedule: Monday - Friday - Normal Business Hours
This position is fully in person
Requirements:
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant or a Medical Assistant diploma.
- BLS/CPR Certification
Job Description:
- Assist with patient preparation for exams, minor office procedures, and with the examination and education of patients
- Perform Phlebotomy, EKG, and collection of lab specimens
- Assuring optimal patient flow, managing a variable and unpredictable patient volume throughout the workday
- Escort patients to treatment room, preparing patient with clear instructions
- Assist with medical procedures
- Prepare patients for examination and perform routine screening tests
