Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

Medical Assistant will room patients, check vital signs, enter medications and history into medical software. Perform administrative duties, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Takes and records patient medical history including accurate list of current medications with dosage and times taken.
• Performs vital signs and records.
• Prepares patients for examination and assists provider during examination, as needed.
• Collects and performs waived testing as directed.
• Maintains equipment and area clean and in good condition.
• Notifies Nursing Team Leader of supplies and equipment needed to keep area well stocked.
• Assists Nursing Team Leader as directed.
• Checks lab orders to assure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintains CPR/BLS competency.
• Assists front desk personnel in scheduling, billing, answering phone as needed.
• Performs other clinic or administrative duties as skill and time permits.
• Represents clinic to the community, patients and others in a positive manner.
