About us
Pinon Hills Ear Nose and Throat is currently looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced otolaryngology team! In this physician-owned practice, you will perform various clinical duties such as greeting, assisting physicians or physician assistants with patient care, scribing, and handling clerical and organizational tasks.
Responsibilities:
· Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, which may include checking schedules and organizing patient flow. Accompanying patients to exam or procedure room.
· Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, and collect patient history - Assist physicians and physician assistants with various procedures and scribing.
· Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned that may include sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/test results, hospital notes, referral information, etc.; completing forms/requisitions as needed.
· Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment according to department protocols; clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; sort and store supplies; restock exam/procedure rooms.
· Follows all HIPAA rules and regulations, including confidentiality of patient information.
· Provide patient education and instructions.
· Follow up via our EMR to ensure the patient completes all orders and follow up with the physicians or physician assistants as needed.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
· Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
· Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
