Medical Assistant for Wound Care/Podiatry Clinic

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care Clinic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the evaluation, treatment, and management of patients with chronic and acute conditions.
2. Document patient information, treatment plans, and medical histories in our electronic health record system.
3. Assist healthcare professionals in performing procedures like wound debridement, dressing changes, and application of topical wound healing agents.
4. Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
5. Provide education and support to patients and their families.
6. Monitor patient's progress and report any changes or complications promptly to the healthcare team.
7. Comply with all safety and infection control guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
3. Previous experience in wound care and/or podiatry a related field is a plus.
4. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
