Medical Assistant – Full Time

AVISTA Medical Center provides exceptional primary care and medical services and currently seeks a high-quality Medical Assistant. Responsibilities include helping patients with professional care, sharing and gathering information, securing and updating medical records, rooming patients, performing vitals, assisting with stocking and inventory of medical supplies, answering phones, and checking voicemail.

Experience Preferred (willing to train the right candidates) - front and back office, computer, and EMR, insurance verification, collecting payments, phlebotomy, medical history, medication list, injections, EKG, urinalysis, spirometry, lab orders, cleanup/setup procedures, autoclave.

Physical Requirements - Standing and sitting for long periods of time, repetitive finger motion while using keyboard and phone, the opening of doors, assisting (supporting) patients, small box lifting.
Individual Requirements - A professional level of personal hygiene, reliable transportation, respect for patient rights, and the ability to adequately communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
