- Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care at the Minnie Jones Health Center. The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the healthcare facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Assist with patient education and counseling
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and filing paperwork
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Experience working in a healthcare facility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
