Form of workPhysicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician-owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Pediatric division team in Cape Coral, FL.
Sample of Responsibilities:
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient and physician use
- Perform patient intake; vital signs, medical history, and medication review
- Assist physicians in the exam room during physicals and procedures
- Record patient charts in the management system in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- A certification/registration from an accredited program for Medical Assistants (CCMA, CMA, RMA, or ABR-OE) or a minimum of two years working as a Medical Assistant and the ability to get certified/credentialed within six months of employment
- Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
- Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
- Knowledge of phlebotomy, patient intake, and common medications
- One year of medical assisting experience or a combination of medical education and work experience
- CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
