Bikowski Skin Care Center is a general medical dermatology clinic in Sewickley is looking for a highly motivated, talented, driven, friendly and service-oriented applicant for a position as Medical Scribe and Clinical Assistant to join our team. We strive to provide compassionate high-quality dermatology services to our patients and are looking to add a team-player who goes above and beyond for patients and co-workers.

This position is ideal for:

Any individual that wants to gain clinical experience in a fast paced, fun, versatile dermatology clinic and see a good mix of skin pathologies (rashes, acne, pharmacotherapy, skin cancers, preventive care), and skin procedures. Our dermatologist enjoys teaching and would support the successful candidate's career ambitions in healthcare with letters of recommendation, networking and advice.

Working Hours: Monday -Thursday regular hours. No nights or weekends.

We welcome college student/graduate or gap year student who is preparing for entry for schooling in medicine, nursing, or physician assistant studies.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast paced clinic with a focus on teamwork
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Comfortable with IT and technology
• CPR/BLS certification (can be arranged by candidate)
• **Experience with EMA (ModMed) electronic healthcare record is preferred but not required**

Responsibilities:

After a training period the candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure efficient operation of the dermatology clinic. You will support the dermatologist through a variety of tasks related to patient care, organization and communication. The goal is to complete all activities accurately with high quality and in an efficient manner.

• Room patients for intake, create visit notes, and document complete medical intake, medication history, quality measures in EMA EHR
• Scribe in exam room for doctor during clinic visits and assist during procedures
• Counsel patient with after care and medication instructions
• Discharge patients and complete visit note in EMA EHR for doctor to sign
• Turn over exam rooms for the next patient
• Assist nurses with task lists in EMA EHR, call patients with test results, return patient phone messages and document in EMA EHR (web version and iPad version).
• E-faxing, scanning, internet-based telephone system
• Assist nurses with prior authorizations for medications
• Patient management of Accutane registry iPledge
• Cross-train as a medical receptionist to check patients in and out, answer phones calls, and schedule patients
