Under the supervision of the Medical Office Manager, the incumbent assists with medical examinations, patient triaging, collecting lab specimens and point of care labs, must perform phlebotomy, answers phone and schedule appointments, experience with patient referral process, cares for medical equipment and supplies. The incumbent will also assume responsibility for routine administrative, clerical and record keeping procedures when needed. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and if Certified/Registered Medical Assistant must have at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) to three (3) years of experience, not currently certified/registered but most obtain certification within 1 year.
Must acquire certification in artificial ventilation and CPR for adults, child and infant within 6 months. Capable of handling emergency situations according to First Aid Training such as: bleeding, wounds, shock, fractures, poisoning, burns and airways' obstruction. Must maintain a valid driver's license; must provide a yearly DMV Certified Driving History.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
