Medical Analyst
L2 Defense is seeking a Medical Analyst to join our team and provide crucial support to our Military Services Division. From our satellite office at Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX, under the supervision of the Project Manager or his/her designee, the Medical Analyst must possess the ability to, under limited supervision, evaluate, design, coordinate and deliver a comprehensive range of training and education programs specifically tailored to Military medical personnel assigned to the CBRN Enterprise. The role requires involvement in the planning, management, and delivery of various projects and is primarily required to support training and exercise, training lanes and evaluations supporting the ARNORTH CIVIL SUPPORT TRAINING ACTIVITY (CSTA.). This position requires a familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This is a full-time position in Fort Sam Houston / San Antonio, TX.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Trains and evaluates Department of Defense Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard medical personnel in individual and collective tasks, tactics, techniques, and procedures for support of Mass Casualty Decontamination in DSCA Operations in the Homeland. Produces reports of training following each training event and as required. Provides individual, train-the-trainer, and collective training to client units as requested. Conducts analysis and produces reports of evaluation and training results. Provides Subject Matter Expertise in Medical triage, treatment, and transport of CBRN casualties / victims as required in support of Exercise Design and execution, and doctrine review.
- Developing, implementing, and delivering tailored customer specific training programs, as well as revising, coordinating and conducting existing training programs
- Work with Subject Matter Experts, OJT Trainers, and Management to develop competency based, technical training programs
- Conduct analysis on training products to ensure the developed materials are technically accurate and functional within known equipment constraints
- Present technically sound instruction to a target audience
- Familiarize and train military/civilian personnel on military communication equipment to include very small apertures, high frequency, land mobile radios (VHF, UHF, 700- 800 MHz), cross- banding including ACU 1000 and 2000.
- Prepare written reports
- Review and update lesson plans and power point presentations
- Provide oversight and subject matter expertise in support of field service operations
- Work with internal teams to obtain an understanding of the documentation requirements
- Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
- Plan, develop, organize, and document operational procedures and manuals
- Review manuals and data to ensure editorial and format consistency
Requirements:
- Knowledge and Skills
- Must possess a Secret security clearance, or qualify to secure.
- Must have knowledge of communication equipment to include very small apertures, high frequency, land mobile radios (VHF, UHF, 700- 800 MHz), cross- banding including ACU 1000 and 2000.
- Graduate of the Instructor Training Course (ITC) or civilian equivalent.
- Five (5) years' experience, of which at least three years must be specialized.
- Specialized experience includes:
- Experience in developing and providing technical and end-user training
- Ability to work independently or under limited supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Team oriented with demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
Minimum Qualifications
- National Register Emergency Medical Technician/Military Healthcare Specialist with minimum 10 years of experience (Mass Casualty experience preferred).
- Minimum Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Possess or able to obtain US Army SECRET Security Clearance.
- Current IFSAC/Pro Board Hazardous Materials Operations/Awareness Certification.
- 10 Years US Military experience, showing progressive positions of authority (preferred).
- US Army training experience at Platoon, Company levels.
- Knowledgeable of National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) application for expanding and complex incidents.
- Knowledgeable of US Army doctrine for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) exposed casualties.
- Knowledgeable of requirements in 29 Code of Federal Regulations Part 1910 and applicable National Fire Protection Association Standards for Hazardous Materials Incident response and mitigation.
Salary and Benefits
- Annual salary $65,000 - $80,000; based on years of experience and demonstrated skill.

Office Location and Schedule:
- Primary office location will be at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX
- This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 8 hours of work per work day at the primary office location
- Travel required - A significant amount of travel time is anticipated for this position, 40% - 50%
