Job Overview:
The Medical Affairs Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the Medical Affairs function for *** Health Science. This position will be responsible for evaluating scientific research to substantiate dietary supplement product claims and develop educational materials to support new and existing products in the US market. Reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs and working closely with the Senior Consultant, Medical Affairs, the Medical Affairs Specialist will contribute to product innovation, claims enhancement, and the identification of new opportunities within the health science segment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct critical review and analysis of relevant published studies to develop accurate and well-supported product claims.
• Create comprehensive claims assessment records for new products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage claims substantiation files to support product claims and regulatory submissions.
• Develop product information sheets containing final approved claims and scientific rationale, highlighting product benefits.
• Review existing products to identify opportunities for new and innovative claims.
• Evaluate marketing assets and collateral to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with approved claims.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a background in health science, nutrition, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of vitamins, minerals, and supplements, along with familiarity with DSHEA regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the dietary supplement industry.
• Passion for integrative medicine and commitment to ongoing education in the field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus.
• Nice to Have:
• Experience creating clinical education content based on product knowledge and scientific research.
• Proficiency in delivering presentations and fostering interpersonal relationships.
• PhD in Pharmacology or related field is a plus.
