Medical Administrative Assistant

Assistant for a NATUROPATHIC physician. If you have no medical experience, please do not apply.

Duties:
-Be in most appointments with doctor, charting for him as well as generating needed information sheets for patient regarding the treatment plan given in their appointments.

-Help keep doctor's schedule and day organized

--Assist front desk when not helping doctor.

--Possible side projects to fill in down-time as well.

Requirements:
- Must be a fast at typing (around 70 wpm or more) and have previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures and can type as someone is speaking and catch most of it.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

-Professionalism in appearance and language
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of patient confidentiality laws and regulations

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the days you will need to be available to work. We work from 9-5 with the exception of Wednesday, we have an office meeting at 8 a.m. It is possible to switch the day off on Tuesday to another day if necessary.

$18.50-20 an hour depending on experience and training needed. If you exceed our expectations, pay is negotiable.
