Medicaid Coordinator

Full-time experienced Medicaid Coordinator sought for fast-paced, holistic elder law, estate planning, and estate administration law firm. The atmosphere is collegial and client-centered with an extreme emphasis on customer service. Candidates must have the following qualities:

• Well-versed in Medicaid rules and regulations;
• Experienced in preparing and filing Community and Chronic Medicaid applications in Nassau,

Suffolk and NYC;

• Strong organizational, time-management and written/verbal communication skills;
• High level of accuracy and sharp attention to detail;
• Ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating priorities and deadlines; and
• Ability to empathize and work with clients in crisis.

Responsibilities will include:

• Meeting with clients to review and collect information;
• Tracking, coordinating and following-up on all document requests;
• Completing and submitting Medicaid applications;
• Communicating with Medicaid caseworkers;
• Ensuring all deadlines are met; and
• Staying current with changes in Medicaid rules and regulations.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office required; working knowledge of Actionstep a plus. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
