Full Job Description
We are looking for an individual to work with clients who are seeking Medicaid long-term care benefits. The Medicaid Coordinator position works directly with the client from the time the client initiates services through to when Medicaid services are no longer needed. Seeking individual willing to work as a team for the benefit of the clients.
Responsibilities
· Meet with client to review the plan of care that has been generated by firm attorneys at the initiation of services.
· Provide information on documents required by Medicaid for an application and instructions on obtaining those documents.
· Provide ongoing assistance to clients to ensure that all required documents are received in timeframe established.
· Work directly with attorneys and firm paralegals regarding any estate planning documents that need to be executed and coordinate with client for execution including signings at long term care facilities.
· Organize and scan to the file all documents received from client and/or executed related to Medicaid application.
· Coordinate and communicate any services with outside banking institutions, facilities, Medicaid office, etc. that may be necessary.
· Ongoing communication with client regarding the status of the Medicaid Application.
· Communicate with attorneys routinely on the status of each case and identify any problems or concerns that may impede the filing of a Medicaid application.
· Provide support to office members, as needed, for various tasks to accomplish clients’ objectives.

· Self-motivated and capable of working within a team
· Ability to handle e-mails and telephone calls from clients and any outside entity providing information and/or services to the client
· Strong communication and organizational skills along with attention to detail
· Extensive computer and database experience; Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
· Ability to review and understand financial information received from banking institutions, financial planners, etc.
· Experience in Medicaid is preferred
Salary based upon experience and paid PTO/vacation offered
