Media Billing Coordinator

MMGY has an immediate position available for a Media Billing Coordinator in our Overland Park, KS office. This is a full time position responsible for managing media billing and acting as a liaison between Finance and Media departments across multiple offices. Ideal candidates will have a background in accounting or media with the ability to troubleshoot proactively and multitask while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Routes and oversees all media billing worksheets and invoices to media buyers and account teams.
• Responsible for all media vendor invoice coding and tracking, verification and resolving discrepancies. Requires direct and regular communication with vendors.
• Tracks all media billing and spend by client and vendor.
• Oversees accrued media reporting and reconciliation, communicating with buyers to resolve under-deliveries
• Processes and allocates all media expenses by client/campaign.
• Manages all tearsheet and proof-of-performance tracking and collection based on client requirements.
• Manages finance deadlines for media and account teams.
• Maintains all paid media projects
• Assists Accounts Payable with media collections and vendor communication
• Troubleshoots and proactively resolves any questions or issues related to client media billing and vendor spend verification.
• Builds positive relationships with media vendors to strengthen agency rapport.
• Other miscellaneous accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, advertising, marketing or communications preferred
• Minimum of 1 year accounting experience
• Prefer agency experience with familiarity in accounting and media
• High level of proficiency with Excel and other MS Office tools
• Knowledge of Workamajig, SmartPlus/PrintPlus, Ads Manager and DoubleClick a plus
• Detail-oriented, attention to detail extremely important
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working on multiple tasks and projects at once
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and hold others accountable
• Resourcefulness; strong ability to look for answers and solutions
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently
