Hiring a full time or part time Charge RN to work on the Med/Surg/Peds Unit (Day Shift). Includes $10,000 recruitment incentive for full time!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications, IV’s and treatment plans, performs nursing assessments to formulate, implement, and evaluate a plan of care of medical-surgical and pediatric patients. Provides patient and family education needs.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize patient care and duties.
  • Integrates policies, procedures, standards, and healthcare provider orders to carry out quality patient care.
  • Must have the ability to work well with others in a team. Demonstrates professionalism and works cooperatively with others including members of interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Cover as Charge Nurse when needed, demonstrating positive and effective leadership. May float to assist in the Emergency Department as needed during shift.
  • Collaborates with other departments to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a RN in the State of Iowa or a compact state. BSN preferred but not required. Must have certification in Basic Life Support. Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course, and telemetry course required within 6 months of hire.

Experience:

  • At least one year of hospital and leadership experience as an RN preferred. Experience in Emergency Department preferred.

This position is day time hours (0645-1915) including every 3rd weekend, 72 hours per pay period. Applicant must pass background check, drug screen and health assessment including applicable vaccinations prior to hire. Position open until filled.
