Mechanic/Lube Technician

International Protective Service, Inc. (IPS) currently has an open position for an Mechanic/Lube Technician. The position includes performing preventative maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, vehicle inspections, including filters, fluids, etc. Depending on experience you may assist of be assigned basic repairs from other experienced automotive technicians. Operate in a safe and timely manner. On-the-job training provided to expand your automotive abilities.

MUST WORK WEEKENDS AND BE OPEN TO TRAVELING.

It is important to IPS that candidates maintain a focus on the fleet of vehicles operated by IPS. It is preferred that candidates do not have side jobs, businesses, or any interests that could conflict or interfere with the primary focus of maintaining IPS fleet vehicles (approx. 80 vehicles including crown victorias, explorers, f150s, Tahoes, Suburbans, police packages, etc., IN ADDITION TO LARGE EXECUTIVE FLEET VEHICLES OF VARIOUS MAKES AND MODELS). All candidates will be placed on a 90-day probationary period upon hire. Candidates must provide their own tools and equipment (contact IPS for details). SOME travel may be involved. IPS has satellite offices in Texas, Arizona, and California.

The position would hold the hours determined by a supervisor. Employees are expected to clock in and out according to their schedule with ongoing supervision. Mechanics will be employees of IPS and will meet all expectations of the position.

Zero Fraternizing. Mechanics must maintain a 100% professional relationship with all employees, vendors, and clients. All mechanic duties must be approved through upper IPS leadership.

- Must be able to pass a full criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a full credit check
- Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance on
various models of vehicles.
- Must be willing to work hard, be accountable daily, and show great consistency in your schedule while enjoying the benefits of self-supervision
- Must have a valid Drivers License with a clean driving record

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
