Mechanical Technician Responsibilities
(To include but not limited to the following)
Operations
- Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria
- Reassemble machines and tractor equipment post-repairs, tests and make adjustments as required for continuous safe performance.
- Test different electrical components and wiring such as electrical circuits, with soldering equipment and test meters, to restore proper functioning.
- Keep detailed records of client information, calculate costs for repairs based on labor, parts used, and repairs made.
Organization
- Good written and verbal communication
- Comfortable interfacing with various levels of the customer's staff and management while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Positive / adaptable to workflow changes.
Technical
- MUST have demonstrated ability in reading and interpreting engineering, assembly drawings, blueprint readings, and mechanical knowledge of engines and axles.
- MUST have ability to diagnose non-conforming parts and ability to repair.
- MUST have strong experience in: Engine/axles repair, vehicles/engines/axles diagnosis, and root cause analysis / repair.
- Knowledge / comprehension of industrial equipment assembly processes.
- Knowledge / understanding of inspection techniques and the use of appropriate measuring tools, equipment, and gages.
- Operating level proficiency using computer software programs.
- 1+ year in Quality related position.
- Basic knowledge of materials and production processes.
- Basic knowledge of quality control methods.
-High school diploma or equivalent.
