We are currently growing our energy transition operations capability. We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Mechanical or Process Engineering Supervisor (local candidates strongly preferred) who is seeking a challenging opportunity that is comfortable functioning independently and as part of a team.


Company and Role Summary

The Lisbon Group provides services within three primary core competencies: Engineering, EPC project execution and management, and Operations Services.  We use our recognized expertise in upstream, midstream and LNG production facilities to provide full multi-disciplinary engineering services, EPC Contracting, and operational services. We are a learning organization and take the lessons learned from the projects we complete to continuously improve each of our core competencies. 

 

We are looking for a Mechanical or Process Engineering Supervisor with a strong ability to lead a team of engineers and ensure successful project execution by taking technical engineering accountability for project deliverables. If you have an exceptional hands-on Process Engineering services background and are interested in gaining exposure in the energy transition sector (LNG, NGL, decarbonization, H2, ammonia, etc.) than this may be the right opportunity for you. This role will report to the Technical Director and will be a pivotal part of the foundation of our growing team.


What You Will Do

  • Meet safety, availability, production and performance targets for multiple LNG assets
  • Ensure compliance in Operational Stand-up Services: Operation, Maintenance, Safety, Security / Access, Operator Competency, Safety Programs
  • Handle scheduling and supervision of facility engineering and operator team in the support of 24/7 remote operation of LNG assets
  • Facility Asset Management: Turn-around planning, 3rd Party Management, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Maximo, Maintenance Program development, alignment and continuous improvement
  • Development and implementation of DOT 49 CFR 193/192 programs
  • Interface with operating personnel at client sites to conduct analyze and solve client problems
  • Take engineering accountability for the delivery of multi-disciplinary small CAPEX and Operations projects
  • Assume engineering accountability and approval of subcontracted packaged equipment including technical accountability for sub-vendor scopes of supply for packaged equipment and equipment items
  • Responsible for field engineering, construction planning, and field Support
  • Perform facility assessments and optimization
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple concurrent small to medium facilities


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, chemical engineering or relevant field experience (required)
  • 10+ years' experience in Natural Gas Processing, Mid-Stream, LNG plants or related continuous chemical processing (highly preferred)
  • Field experience including construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational support (highly preferred)
  • Previous experience in leading remote teams and deliverables (highly preferred)
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering small to medium size multi-disciplinary projects where you were directly accountable for identifying and closing technical gaps to exceed customer expectations
  • We specialize in the operations of small to mid-scale LNG assets, therefore a career dedicated to operations and operations engineering is essential
  • 3rd party service supplier experience a plus
  • A proven ability to guide, coach and support the development of junior engineers and operators required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (required)
  • Ability to interact effectively with vendors and clients (approximately 50% of your work involves internal interaction - 50% external)
  • International experience - we execute work across the globe (beneficial)

Monday to Friday (though making self-available after hours when necessary)
