Excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to join a 50-year-old company that is a world leader in high-precision machining. This awesome company is AS9100D Certified and they use high-precision CNC milling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), 3 and 5-axis creep feed, and CBN grinding. This role reports o the Director of Engineering and will flex between two local facilities.

Duties
- Support operators in the achievement of daily throughput goals
- Identify constraints and opportunities for improvement and assist in operator training.
- Coordinate the re-building or redesigning of existing production fixtures and tools and oversees their implementation into production.
- Resolves engineering issues to support operations.
- Participates and leads problem-solving teams.
- Improve processes to drive throughput and velocity.
- Conducts process development including machining parameters, and all related documentation using Creep feed grinding, milling, EDM (sinker, wire, and fast hole drilling), and Huffman 5 axis grinding machines.
- Develops solid production process and continually monitors for improvements.
- Conducts grinding wheel tests to improve wheel performance and throughput.
- Serve as a role model and leader to peers.
- Review processes for new tooling
- Analyzes existing tooling for improvement
- Develop and update key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive the execution of results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing environment, aerospace or automotive industries preferred
- Possess high energy success driven with technical expertise.
- Possess strong problem-solving, continuous improvement, and time management skills
- Knowledgeable in precision machining processes that include milling, EDM (sinker, wire, and fast hole drilling), and 5-axis grinding.
- Experience with continuous improvement activities resulting in increased throughput and profitability.
- Having working knowledge in SolidWorks, AutoCad, MasterCam, and Vericut is a plus
- Professional Trainings/certifications are a plus.
- Advanced education is a plus.
