Honeywell Intelligrated is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join our growing team of Tilt Tray and Cross belt product support group.
A Mechanical Field Service Engineer at Honeywell Intelligrated is passionate about automated systems, a self-motivated professional, and strives to be at the leading edge of material handling technology. They are primarily responsible for installing new equipment efficiently troubleshooting and isolating mechanical problems reported from customers, distributors, or subcontractors. In addition, the Mechanical Field Service Engineer is the primary owner for mechanical implementation of modifications and upgrades at a customer site. You will be part of a group of highly dedicated professionals who provide expertise and ensure the successful execution of projects at a customer site.
This role will travel 90% of the time, work nights and/or weekends. The ideal candidate should be located anywhere in the United States within an hour of an airport. This position will also require travel outside on the United States.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and execute Tilt Tray and Cross Belt projects from start to finish
- Work with design engineers to go over schematics, test plans, and installation guides
- Interface with industry leading customers
- Install Tilt Tray and Cross-Belt equipment
- Attends all project related turnover meetings, functional design reviews and team meetings
- Fully comprehends scope, budgets, and schedules for the project
- Reviews initial project schedule and identify gaps or changes needed
- Maintains and tracks issues list, reporting to his supervisor and project manager as required
- Performs mechanical testing to provide feedback to the design engineers
- Completes all on-site installation and provides red-lines of schematics
- Work alone or as part of a team onsite depending on the magnitude of the project
- Provides site/field reports daily, including progress, issues, and next steps, as requested
- Deliver successful final material handling systems to the customer
- Emergency service support at customer facilities
- Provides in-depth technical training to customers
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical installation experience
- Experience supervising On-site Contractor work execution inclusive of crane rigging and lifting operation
- Permitting compliance with safety requirements and liaison and coordination with other Departments
- Millwright experience
- Electrical experience
- Welding Experience and certification
- Forklift, Scissor lift, crane and rigging experience
- A valid driver's license
- A valid Passport

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- Salary Range: $72,300 to $108,400
