This position requires US Citizenship, an active US DoD Secret Clearance, or the ability and willingness to obtain DoD Security Clearance.
Note: This position is hybrid and can be based out of Ellicott City, MD, Richmond, VA, Newport News, VA, Huntsville, AL, and Albuquerque, NM
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of HVAC and Plumbing design work with calculations, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout of mechanical equipment and associated duct and piping systems, and sequences of operations.
- Develop mechanical construction and equipment specifications, test and inspection plans, and system design descriptions.
- Perform engineering quality assurance checks of project designs.
- Support new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedules.
- PE License required
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience
- Degree requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
- Client projects for this position require sole US Citizenship and prohibit Dual Citizenship
- Experience using HVAC computer load and design programs such as Trane Trace software
- Working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA standards
- Working knowledge of IMC, IPC, and IBC codes
- Revit building information modeling software
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- LEED or Green Globes accreditation
