ABOUT THE ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design Support: Collaborate with senior mechanical engineers to develop innovative designs for battery modules and enclosures. Assist in creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software.
2. Prototyping and Testing: Contribute to test planning and execution, including performance testing and failure analysis. Participate in the prototyping process by assisting in the assembly of mechanical and electrical components if required.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with members of the hardware engineering team as well as other cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, field service, electronics, software and other teams, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into overall system designs.
4. Documentation and Analysis: Support the documentation of design specifications, test results and analysis reports. Assist in conducting feasibility studies and design reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
5. Continuous Learning and Development: Actively engage in learning opportunities to expand your knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and their application in energy storage systems. Seek mentorship from experienced engineers and actively participate in team meetings and discussions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Preferred Third Year Bachelor's student or higher
0 - 6 months Work Experience Required
WORKING CONDITIONS
The physical/mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
May be required to exert up to __45__ pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

WORK HOURS & BENEFITS
We can work with you on your schedule understanding that you are a student first. You can plan on being a part of our 300+ person team working 3 to 5 days per week during normal business hours on your assigned days.
