Job Position:Mechanical Engineer (w/ Pro/Engineer-Creo Parametric Experience)

Reports to: Manager, Mechanical Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Model parts and create fully detailed assemblies and drawings to support manufacturing, assembly, and test using Creo Parametric 8.0
• Utilize Part, Assembly, Detail and Surfacing modules of Creo 8.0
• Design optical systems and associated items, welded structures, and composite components
• Generate BOMs and communicate data to Purchasing Department
• Develop testing methods to validate product capabilities
• Develop manufacturing, assembly, installation and crating procedures
• Prepare data packages for quoting and obtain pricing from different vendors
• Control CAD files and perform change management (problem reporting, change request, change notice) using WindChill PDMLink 12.X
• Support shop during assembly and with general troubleshooting

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineering degree in a related field
• Proven work experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Extensive experience with
• Pro/E Wildfire or Creo 8.0
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)
• Windchill PDM Link 12.X
• Exceptional knowledge of mechanical design, assembly, detailing, sheet-metal, and surface modeling
• Experience in designing welded assemblies and composite parts
• Strong and effective verbal, analytical, and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
• Ability to travel up to 15%
• Prefer experience with optical system engineering/flight simulation

A test covering Creo modeling and simple mechanical design will be conducted as part of the interview process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
