About the Position
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Onco Filtration is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to advance its current early cancer screening technology. The candidate will be part of the engineering team and will work closely with other disciplines of engineering as well as a team of biologists. A successful candidate will be able to design, manufacture, and test a multitude of components and workflows as we rapidly approach sales.
Responsibilities
- Work both independently and collaboratively to design and manufacture components to support a wide range of projects.
- Design components to be manufactured using techniques such as injection molding, vacuum molding, and additive manufacturing.
- Conduct research to determine the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical systems.
- Diligently work with 3rd party vendors when iterating designs and testing samples.
- Develop a strong understanding of the project so that all designs meet the needs of other teams.
- Use electrical and software principles to both create and execute proficiency testing protocols on several projects.
- Work collaboratively on CAD projects using Onshape.
- Create automation tools to assist the team during testing.
- Test prototypes and evaluate their performance.
- Document all experiments and analysis and present your findings to the larger team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that arise during testing or production.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Education and Abilities
- BS/MS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Team oriented with collaborative working style.
- Self-motivated with strong-time management skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as Onshape or SolidWorks) for mechanical design.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and practices.
- Knowledge of injection molding and design for injection molding.
- Working knowledge of Python or C++.
- Experience in designing and executing experiments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
