Position: Mechanical Engineer (Oil & Gas domain)
Location: Spring, TX (Onsite)
Contract Role
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
· Good knowledge on Oil & Gas domain
· Develop and/or modify designs related to Oil & gas components by analyzing product specifications, performance requirements, and existing manufacturing capabilities
· Strong experience with API standards
· Support the client in Design/Technical Documentation using Product Data Management activities throughout the product realization activity
· Study the Concept design, development and production support
· Checking all components of an assembly will assemble and function properly
· Checking Ratings and other design attributes match the design requirements
· Design for Manufacturing Review and drawings reviewed for manufacturing feasibility
· Creating parametric 3D Models, Assembly and 2D drawings as per Customer and ASME standards using Solidworks
· Knowledge of G,D&T and Tolerance stack-up analysis
· Knowledge of Manufacturing Process and review drawings for manufacturing feasibility
· Implementation of Electronic change request (ECR) which involves modification of Drawings, BOM, procedures accordingly
· Knowledge in processing Request for Technical Assistance (RTA)
· Updating documentation through Revision control, Product Attribute control, and Change Descriptions
· Performing Engineering calculation
· Adhere to process checkpoints to ensure design/customer standards are followed
· Knowledge of FEA
· Review of the work packages and mentor of Engineer/Designer
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Spring, TX 77373: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Mechanical engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
- Oil & gas: 3 years (Preferred)
