We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL working in our Automated Test Equipment (ATE) area. You will work on a team with other hardware, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.
Positions are located in East Orlando, FL at the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Lake Underhill Facility. Keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools will be encouraged.

Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for an ambitious Mechanical Engineer to become a member of the Training, Logistics and Solutions (TLS) Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Team.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
• Design, assessment, troubleshooting and analysis of hardware
• Support development of new hardware leveraging existing system architecture.
• Participate in Design Reviews.
• Support production environments in researching obsolescence COTS and customer hardware.
• Applies technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings and manuals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Able to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Demonstrated understanding of structures, mechanisms and materials
• Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical modeling or analysis tools, such as Solidworks/CREO
• Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts
Desired skills
-Ability to work in a collaborative and highly
integrated team environment
-Desire and ability to own technical challenges
and implement solutions
-Familiar with SolidWorks 3D CAD software
-Knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
-Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms, and materials
-Experience in performing tip, thermal, shock & vibration analysis
-Familiarity with Agile methodologies
-Understanding of EMI design practices
-Understanding of Optical design practices

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $55,300 - $106,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $63,600 - $119,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
