Mechanical Engineer Aircraft Systems 2nd Shift (Palmdale CA)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our client, a leading global security and aerospace company. The focus of this role is to support the aircraft build team by red-lining and updating engineering drawings and documents.

This contract position is long-term with funding approved till 02/20/2024, extensions possible, 40-hour-per-week role. (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) (2nd Shift (3 PM-1 AM). This is a full-time onsite role at our client's Palmdale CA office.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting aircraft system check-outs for any major aircraft system: electrical, fuel, hydraulics, ECS.
• Red-lining and updating engineering drawings and documents and preparing airworthiness documentation.
• Provide mechanical engineering support by working closely with the aircraft build team in preparation of the vehicle's first flight.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience validating Aircraft systems (in either a production or Design environment)
• 7+ years of experience updating engineering drawings and documentation
• Bachelor's Degree.
• On-aircraft systems check-out experience (SCO or SCOP).

Compensation: $45/hr - $115/hr
