Assist operations and maintenance in the designs of mechanical & electromechanical products/systems and develop a greater understanding of the production processes.
Primary Duties
- Assist in the PM Program to develop and implement preventative maintenance processes - monitoring uptime percentages, investigate repeat mechanical failures, develop strategies to increase uptime
- Follow up on progress of work list for each lead mechanic
- Focus on machine and process improvements - lean system, MCI
- Perform engineering assignments related to design and analysis for packaging equipment and line systems
- Provide support to keep equipment operational by being involved in maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
- Become familiar with Top 10 reporting and providing support in reporting data to the Group
- Fully understands the production processes, knowledge of raw material, quality control, costs, machine functions and capabilities in order to maximize the effective manufacture of the end product
- Develops knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote Health & Safety for the protection of people and property
- May be assigned to other projects and duties
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated individual (proactive attitude)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, learn quickly and follow established processes
- Self-motivated and committed individual
- Strong work ethic
