The Mechanical Engineer will plan, design, test, validate, maintain, and improve product designs. This position collaborates with various stakeholders within the organization to find and implement solutions that delight our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Developing New Product Designs for our Display and Controller Product Lines.
- Design of Plastics, Metals, Die casting, coatings, and adhesives.
- De-risking, testing, and validation of a design.
- Simulation, Tolerance Analysis, Due Diligence.
- Industrial Design.
- Prototyping.
- Support Operations including Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, etc. with engineering activities to new and existing products.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 plus years of experience.
- Knowledge in the following:
* Principles and practices of engineering
* Design for manufacturing
* Engineering testing and evaluation
* Injection molding/die casting processes and design practices
* Metal stamping design
* Machined part design
* Electronic enclosures
* Seal design
- Skill requirements:
* 3D design (Solidworks/ProE)
* FEA analysis
* Drafting/GD&T Standards
* Problem-solving
* Mentor other engineers
