What you will do:
- Provide expert technical direction in coordinating, facilitating, motivating and directing efforts of cross-functional product development teams.
- Design product applications for specified projects and evaluate and develop methods and materials to support the job.
- Work alongside the shop floor to take product from design to production.
- Responsible for the organization of highly complex activities for the design, development, and implementation of prototype products.
- Identify any opportunities for product or process developments for continual improvement
- Interface and participate in customer and company meetings relating to the project.
- CAD 2D/3D product development and giving direction/supervision of CAD team working on project.
- Create and maintain a Bill of Material (BoM) for the project.
- Compile a complete engineering analysis for critical aspects of the project
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associate’s Degree with equivalent experience.
- At least two years of applicable design release experience, preferably in the amusement industry.
- Experience in CAD, preferably SolidWorks
- Hands on approach to product design, metal fabrication and machining experience preferred.
- Technical writing experience, specifically with respect to engineering analysis reports.
- A demonstrated team-based and creative approach to problem solving
- Passion for creating quality work and ensuring that the final product consistently exceeds expectations.
- Flexible and open to the variety of projects that will be a part of this role.
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America for any employer without restrictions or expirations
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience creating and/or managing a Bill of Material (BOM)
- Experience in creating or utilizing Design for Manufacturing standards
- Experience in material selection
- Experience with tool & die tooling design
- Experience creating DFMEAs and DVP&Rs
- 2D drawing creation
- 3D product development
- Demonstrated hands on experience with hand tools
