The Draftsperson will play a crucial role within our multidisciplinary engineering team. As a Drafter you will translate design concepts and specifications into detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and traditional drafting techniques. You will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements and standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
- Prepare both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems.
- Prepare, review, and draft alongside the engineering team.
- Ensure final designs are compliant with in-house standards.
- Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Associate Degree from a technical school or 3-5 years’ experience in drafting.
- Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD). NX software experience is a plus.
- Machine shop and Rotary Press experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings and plans.
- Comfortable working at a computer for long periods of time communicating with our in-house manufacturing personnel.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and techniques in drafting and design.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
Pay: The hourly range is between $30-34/hr based on your education, skills, and experience.
Schedule: 1st shift hours Monday - Friday
