Mechanical Design Engineer - Process Development

Summary:Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in an automation-manufacturing environment sought to utilize CAD tools, generate specifications, and lead teams in the development of new process tooling and fixtures.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field from a four-year college or university
• Minimum of 5 years of Engineering experience within an automation-manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD systems, with preference for Solidworks
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis (stack-ups)
• Familiarity with DFMEA processes
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Proficient in PC skills
• Self-motivated and capable of managing difficult situations
• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities

Preferred Skills:

• Experience conducting design reviews, generating project plans, and creating equipment specifications
• Participation and leadership in cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of generating preliminary estimates for Capital Investment Plans
• Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques such as Cpk/Ppk and Gage R&R

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD tools to simulate, test, and document new process tooling and fixtures
• Create detailed specifications for new manufacturing equipment
• Conduct, document, and track design reviews
• Generate project plans and documents following Engineering Department procedures
• Participate in and lead teams as required
• Generate preliminary estimates for Capital Investment Plan
• Perform Stack-up analysis and be familiar with DFMEA processes
• Utilize GD&T and tolerance analysis for design accuracy
• Demonstrate analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Manage difficult situations and balance team and individual responsibilities

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $95,000.00 PER YEAR
